Tuition and Assistance

If You Want to BE at Viz, We Will Help Make it Happen.

Viz has a well-earned reputation as a leading St. Louis educational and spiritual institution, which is just one reason that Viz is a perennial choice of school. But there is so much more to the Viz experience.

If you make your school selection based on all that Viz offers and all that students gain versus what Viz costs, the choice is simple. You can’t put a price on setting your child up for lifelong success.

Your Tuition Dollars Get You MORE…

List of 1 items.

  • Personalized attention due to smaller class sizes.

The average Upper School graduating class at Viz is around 75 students versus the hundred plus (or even more) found at other area all-girl Catholic high schools and independent high schools. Less students means more resources and instruction directed to your child.

List of 1 items.

  • Understanding and acceptance of your child as a student and a person.

As one of only 15 in a classroom (average classroom size), students are active participants versus passive listeners. Viz educators genuinely know their students' strengths and passions and any areas requiring extra assistance. One size does not fit all when it comes to learning.

  • Access to and involvement in diverse opportunities.

From educational offerings that go above and beyond the typical curriculum to inclusive theatre and athletic programs to leadership positions in the classroom and student organizations, there are no limits to what your daughter can accomplish during her years at Viz and beyond.

List of 1 items.

  • Support for the social, emotional, and educational needs of our students.

Viz’s team of counselors is there at every key milestone, addressing students' age-specific challenges, needs, and concerns. At the Upper School level, this includes working with students throughout the college testing and selection process, helping them find a college that suits their needs and desires and best prepares them for a bright future.

  • Will We Qualify for Assistance?

Visitation understands tuition cost is an important factor in your ultimate choice of school. For some, it may be the most important factor, one you want to address before you commit. To ease your mind and help you with your decision-making, we are happy to provide an estimate of tuition assistance in advance of the application process.

If you feel your financial situation warrants, we encourage you to apply online for tuition assistance between October 1 and November 1 for students interested in Grade 9 and prior to December 1 for all other grade levels. Doing so will allow us to review the elements of your individual tuition assistance application early so that we can provide you with an estimated range of tuition assistance prior to application deadlines.
  • We Have More Questions.

If you have questions about tuition assistance and the application process, please contact Eileen Ruma, Financial Aid Accountant. She can be reached at (314) 625-9297 or eruma@vizstl.org.
  • We Are Ready To Apply.

Viz uses School & Student Services (SSS) to process tuition assistance applications and provide preliminary data related to each family's financial needs.

Click here to access the SSS portal and complete the Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS). The SSS portal opens October 1, and Visitation Academy’s school code is 1093; the PFS must be completed by December 31, 2024, for current families and Grade 9 applicants. For Lower and Middle School applicants, the PFS must be completed by January 31, 2025. Late applicants will be considered if funds remain and may be placed on a waiting list.

Please upload your 2023 IRS Form 1040 income tax return into the SSS portal (including all related schedules and W-2s). Similarly, please also upload your 2024 IRS Form 1040 income tax return and all related schedules when completed.

Tuition assistance awards are contingent upon your providing the required tax documents. Award letters will be mailed to returning students in February 2025 and new students with their letters of admission
