Membership in this organization is open to fathers and male guardians of all current Visitation Academy students.
The purpose of the Fathers’ Club is to promote the general welfare of Visitation Academy and to cooperate with the school to promote the spiritual, intellectual, cultural, and physical welfare of the students by:
- Cooperating with the Visitation Academy Board and Administration by acting as a liaison between home and school.
- Fostering a closer union among parents, faculty, and students by promoting sociability and school spirit.
- Providing a structure through which various projects to benefit the school, students, Sisters, and faculty may be sponsored or implemented.
Fathers’ Club activities and projects that help to achieve the above purpose include “Cook Your Own” Steak Night, Trivia Night, the Father-Daughter Dinner & Dance, Field Day and Carnival assistance, and the establishment of the Fathers’ Club Emergency Financial Aid Funds.
An exceptional camaraderie exists among men who participate in the Fathers’ Club, and these gentlemen develop a special bond that grows during their years at Visitation. Lifelong friendships are often the result of serving on a Fathers’ Club committee or attending a Fathers’ Club event.
