Upper School

Welcome to the Upper School! I wear two different hats at Visitation Academy: principal of the Upper School and parent of a Viz Upper School student. No matter which hat I am wearing, there is one thing I can say with absolute certainty – I want the very best for the young women that go to school here.

It is completely evident in this ever-changing 21st-century world that all-girl schools are needed. The International Coalition of Girls’ Schools (ICGS) published an insightful blog post on their website - Why Girls’ Schools Are More Relevant than Ever. The post listed the following as the top three reasons for this assessment

Viz consistently delivers on these points plus much, much more. Having been an educator and administrator in both coed and all-girl schools, believe me when I say the atmosphere here at Viz is completely different. There is no denying the benefits of an all-girl educational environment. I see it in our Upper School students, and I see it in my own daughter.
