Viz Students Compete in Prestigious WWT STEM Student Forum
A team of eight talented students from Visitation Academy’s Entrepreneurial course is making waves in the World Wide Technology (WWT) STEM Student Forum, an annual competition designed to empower students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Competing against 19 other schools in the St. Louis area, the Viz team is working to develop innovative, equity-focused solutions for a chance to win the grand prize of $10,000—funding that will help bring their idea to life.
Guided by their school ambassador and a dedicated WWT mentor, the team has been collaborating to brainstorm and refine their project. Their journey kicked off at WWT’s Global Headquarters, where they met with their mentors and began developing their concept based on a real-world prompt. They later continued their discussions back at Viz, building on their ideas and strengthening their teamwork.
The WWT STEM Student Forum provides participants with a unique opportunity to sharpen essential skills such as collaboration, problem-solving, and communication—valuable tools for future careers in STEM and beyond. The Visitation team includes:
