Viz Sophomore Olivia Thornton Joins St. Louis Art Museum Teen Arts Council
Visitation Academy is proud to celebrate sophomore Olivia Thornton ’26 for her selection to the Saint Louis Art Museum’s Teen Arts Council (TAC) for the 2023-2024 academic year. This prestigious program empowers teens to play a significant role in shaping teen-centered initiatives at the Museum.
Olivia applied for the council at the end of her freshman year and has since been actively participating in meetings and events. Through TAC, Olivia is gaining valuable behind-the-scenes experiences, engaging in arts workshops, and contributing to planning initiatives such as the annual Young Artists Exhibition.
The Teen Arts Council is built on the philosophy that teens are integral to designing and implementing museum programs for their peers. As a council member, Olivia is helping to expand the Museum’s teen audience while strengthening her artistic and leadership skills.
This incredible achievement reflects Olivia’s talent and dedication and brings pride to the entire Viz community. Congratulations, Olivia, on representing Viz in such an impactful way!
