FOR ALL STUDENTS:

Service Opportunity:
Do you need in-school service hours?  Spend a couple of hours in the Advancement office thanking the donors who help fund all the cool things at Visitation Academy.  Contact Ms. May (amay@visitationacademy.org) if you are interested in participating in the second annual Annual Fund Thank-A-Thon.  We will be writing thank you notes to everyone who has donated money to this year’s fundraising effort.  Snacks will be provided!

Serve one, some, or all of the following days form 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Advancement office:
•    Monday, April 28th
•    Wednesday, April 30th
•    Tuesday, May 6th
•    Thursday, May 8th


Counseling Corner:
FOR SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS
Are you a leader at school or in the community?  Do you want to improve your leadership skills and have fun at Mizzou for part of the summer?
Applications are being accepted for the Audrey Walton Youth Leadership Conference to be held at University of Missouri-Columbia.  This Three day experience on the Mizzou campus is filled with seminars to build leadership skills, a teams challenge course and positive group interaction. The conference is FREE.  The conference is scheduled for July 17-19.  The deadline to apply is May 2 but apply early- apps are accepted and critiqued on a first-come, first-served basis.

FOR FRESHMEN - JUNIORS
The University of Dayton offers two summer engineering camps and applications for them are being accepted now.  The Summer Honors Engineering Camp (coed) and the Women In Engineering Camp are both 6-day residential programs at University of Dayton.  See the poster in the Counseling Hallway for more information.  The application deadlines are in late April.

The West Point Society of Greater St. Louis and the West Point Parents Club of St. Louis invite all interested high school students and their parents to a presentation on the West Point admission process.  The presentation will be on Tuesday,  April 15 at 7pm at Algonquin Golf Club.  Please see the flyer on the calendar bulletin board in the Counseling hallway for more details.  RSVP to Mary Linkul at RSVP@linkulfamily.com.

Seniors may apply
The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis offers interest-free loans to college bound seniors.  Information is available in the College Center and online at www.stlouisgraduates.org.  The application deadline is April 15th
