Urgent Service Hours Opportunity!!!
Mrs. Brown (Viz JV Field Hockey Coach) is offering in-school service hours for anyone who would be willing to help watch her two boys (ages 3 and 5) at Viz during field hockey practice.

Club News:
There will be a thespian meeting for all current inducted members on Tuesday, August 31st directly after school.
There will be a meeting for all 7th-12th grade students who would like to work backstage for the fall musical on Thursday, September 2nd right after school in the theatre.
Campus Ministry will have their first meeting on Tuesday, August 31st at 7:30 am in the theatre. All students, Grades 7-12, are welcome.
Young Democrats will be having a meeting Thursday, September 2 at 7:30 am. All are welcome and there will be food.
MDT will be having a meeting for all new and returning members on Friday, September 3rd, at 7:30 am in Mrs. Mahon’s Room. There will be food.

Club News: The 7th and 8th Grade Book Club will have a preliminary meeting this Friday morning at 7:30 in the library. We will discuss our summer selection, Uglies, and make plans for this year's activities. Please join us. Future meetings will be on the third Friday morning of each month.
Counseling Corner:
A representative from Drake University will be in the College Center today, August 31 at 10:30. If you plan to meet with a college rep, please inform your teacher(s) for the classes you may miss AHEAD of time.
The list of all colleges scheduled to visit, so far, is on the door to the College Center. The list is also on Naviance under Colleges, and Visits, and will be on the calendar in the Counseling Hallway.

All 9th Grade Ambassadors – do not forget that Hostess Training will be held this Thursday, September 2 at 10am in the Upper School Conference Room. Please bring a pencil/pen with you for the meeting. Training should last approximately 20 minutes. Let your Advisors know that you will miss most of advisory. This training is mandatory for you to be a hostess. Thank you!

There will be an Art Club meeting today from 3-4 in the Art Room. The dues fee is $10. Come and see what we’re up to.
There will be a SPECTRUM meeting Thursday, at 7:30 am in the LS Cafeteria. The SPECTRUM has been completely re-vamped, and is now a club focusing not only on diversity and cultural studies, but also on current events and human rights issues. There will be food.
